The Triumphant Church is the coalescence of disciples of Christ who believe that church is only as strong as the framework of the family. We are dedicated to spiritual growth, evangelism, and fellowship through the study of biblical principles. At Triumphant Church, we are taking ministry to another level. We have a foundation of strong biblical and Christ-centered worship which facilitates building families and ultimately God’s kingdom. At all of our services, we clarify scripture for added understanding and learn how to practically apply God’s Word in our lives. Our Ministry Leaders
Bishop Fred Matthews is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Our Pastor has always excelled academically, graduating with honors from both Tennessee State University and Shaw University. He also received a fellowship and studied at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN. He remained very active in his community and is part of several civic, professional and non-profit organizations. Bishop Matthews is often called upon to use his academic leadership expertise and has served as an advisor on several Executive Boards of Colleges and Corporate Organizations.
Out of his many Professional Licenses, Awards, Recognitions, and Degrees, Bishop Matthews prides himself on being a family man. The foundation of his Biblical teaching is that Ministry begins at home with your own spouse and children. He and Lady Matthews have been married for over 20 years and together they have four beautiful daughters, whom they are raising to be scholars and independent virtuous Lady Leaders.

Often Lady Matthews is known as “the hardest working First Lady”… balancing her family, her business and the ministry with style and grace.
Lady Matthews met Bishop Matthews while serving in Ministry as the Youth Director at Temple Pentecostal Church. The two were very active in Ministry, serving to advance the Kingdom of God and became great friends. They began dating, got engaged and she accepted Bishops Marriage Proposal. Our Pastor & First Lady married on Saturday, February 13, 1999 and to this union they have four beautiful daughters.
